Select Bus Service (B44 Limited)
Project Update

Dear merchants and community members –

Preparation for Brooklyn’s very first Select Bus Service route on the limited B44 route has begun. There are some important updates about which we want you to be aware, and which we urge you to share with your neighboring merchants, customers and community members in general. We know that construction and change in general can be confusing and we want to make sure that you have the best access to information. For additional information about the route, please see the latest newsletter from NYC Department of Transporation (DOT) and the project page.

Beautifying Nostrand and removing eyesores:

Victory! As part of NAMA’s advocacy with the MTA, we are happy to report that the scaffolding eye-sore in front of the MTA substation has finally been removed, opening up the street to make pedestrians and shoppers feel safe!

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Have a seat – we are proud to have facilitated the installation of 8 new CityBenches along the NAMA corridor.  Perfect to enjoy the spring season! PHOTOS coming! If you are interested in a CityBench in front of your business, let us know and/or fill out the form directly here.

The old-fashioned “stick” meters that are no longer used on Nostrand will be removed in a process that will begin on May 15, 2013.
